As usual sailing is available every Monday and Friday (except Bank Holidays) from April to the end of October for individuals and from May to the end of September for groups.
Sailing is also usually available on the first and third Saturdays of each month from April to October.

This will be the tenth annual Pitsford Rally, incorporating Robbie's Race (for the Robbie Henderson Memorial Trophy, presented by Churchouse Boats)
Drascombes from all over the country will congregate for two days of relaxed sailing.
This is a wonderful opportunity for members and volunteers to see other types of Drascombe boats, talk with their owners, and to race the full length of the reservoir to Holcot and back.

Come and sail Squib Keelboats at The East Anglian Sailing Trust, Suffolk Yacht Harbour, Levington, Suffolk IP10 0LN from 10 a.m. on Saturday 10th June.

Plas Menai is the Welsh National Watersports Centre and is situated on the Menai Straits between Caernarfon and Bangor.
We will be returning to Plas Menai again on the weekend of 28-29th October 2017. It is simply just too good not to go again!
We will be sailing Dinghies, Catamarans and Keelboats on the stunning Menai Straits. We will have the choice of the centre’s selection of boats, both power and sail. All you have to do is choose! (Or you don’t have to sail, just take it easy and explore the local area.)
The accommodation and meals are great. The building itself is accessible, and fully accessible rooms are also available. Breakfast, a packed lunch and evening meals are included.
On the water we will be looked after by experienced and qualified centre staff.

We are thinking of running a start racing course in 2017 as there appears to be sufficient demand for one. To make it work we need a minimum number of students. Three is sort of OK, but it's much better with five or six.
As it's intensive on kit and the powerboat and also to make sure we get the largest number of people taking part we won't run it on a dinghy training weekend but set the date once we know who wants to do it and can sort a mutually convenient weekend or two separate days.

It is our privilege once again to host this event at Northampton Sailing Club.
With up to 20 boats expected for this event volunteers are needed in order to ensure that all runs smoothly.

As with last year I have been nominated to be the Northampton Sailability ‘lead’ (event coordinator) for the day.
Although still a few months away, I should be most grateful to learn if you would be able to help on the day.
Previous years have been most successful earning praise from the Hansa association - thanks to our willing volunteers!
Please let me know if you will be able to help out and if you would like any specific “duties”. I will then try and compile a list.
Also, perhaps talking to your regular ‘students’/members, if you would like to enter the event perhaps crewing for a regular member I will be arranging for an Access ‘booking form’ to be available on the admin table.
As well as general “do everything/anything” assistance ( eg entrants may need assistance launching and getting in/out of boats) we will need designated volunteers for:

Members with Learning Difficulties account for about half our membership. They can vary from very disabled members to those with mild learning difficulties. Some may also be autistic.
About 20 of these members will take part in the RYA Certificate of Recognition Scheme.
This is based at 5 levels with a list of skills. Some are compulsory and some are optional which makes it suitable for different levels of ability.

This is NSC's annual regatta in aid of Asthma Research UK in memory of Steve who died at a young age as the result of an asthma attack.
Traditionally Northampton Sailability have played a big part in making the event such a success.
Once again we have the opportunity to help with NSC's annual fund raiser in aid of Asthma Support UK. We need all sorts of help including safety boat drivers, helpers on the committee boats and shore crew.
It's a bit of an odd day ashore in that there are periods of intense activity interspersed with periods of inactivity. Furthermore the form of help ashore varies according to things like the weather, water level and the mix of boats participating. Some years are much busier than others so the aim is to have plenty of volunteers around so that we are prepared for any eventuality.
However, tasks involve things like car parking, launching and recovery and just wandering around the site to make it look busy when folks are afloat thus deterring the light fingered.
It's a long day with the first arrivals turning up at around 08:00 when the priority is organising the car and boat parking. If you can come turn up whenever you can for as long or little as you can. If you don't want to help, turn up anyway end enjoy the spectacle. Full details are available on the NSC website.
If you can help please contact Phil Kenny so that he can plan cover for the day. There will be a compulsory briefing for all safety boat drivers which will be at a time to be announced.
It's time to get the boats and other equipment re-assembled and checked ready for the new season, which starts on 3rd April.

This is a fantastic shop window for what we do and a great day out to boot.
There will be a huge number of people there with a range of disabilities enjoying the activities as well as seeing what leisure and other opportunities there are for them.
Meg and Richard are leading on this again but to get the best out of it we need volunteers to help set up a display, staff our area and clear up afterwards. (Times will be advised when available.)
